Everyday cleaning: Wipe the top with a soft damp cloth and warm water. Dry with a clean cloth to avoid water spotting.

Spills: Sintered stone is non-porous, so spills sit on the surface. Wipe them up when you can. For anything stubborn, use a pH-neutral cleaner and a non-abrasive cloth.

Avoid: Abrasive pads, scouring powders and bleach-based or acidic cleaners, which can dull the finish over time. Do not set very hot cookware directly on the surface.

The base: Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth only. Do not soak, and wipe up standing liquid promptly.

Stone that doesn't ask you to be careful

Real travertine stains if you look at it wrong. This one doesn't. The Dune's sintered stone top gives you the pitted, sun-bleached character of a quarried slab, then shrugs off the coffee rings and the wet glasses that come with actually using a coffee table. The edge is freeform, so no two read quite the same. Put your feet up.

Curves, because corners hurt

The top is a soft organic slab with no hard corners to catch a hip or a shin on the way past. At 51 inches wide it holds a full sofa's worth of cups, and at 15 inches high it sits right about at cushion level, so nobody has to reach.

Why we called it the Dune

A dune has no straight edges, because nothing that gets shaped by wind ever does. That is this table — a soft, wandering outline and a pale sun-bleached surface, sitting low the way sand does. It reads just as easily in a Kailua rental as it does in a Kakaako high-rise.
