Dust with a dry cloth, or wipe with a barely damp one and dry straight away. Do not leave water standing on the top.

Drawers: If a drawer starts to stick in humid weather, a candle stub or a bar of soap rubbed along the runners fixes it. That is normal behaviour for solid wood in Hawaii, not a defect.

Avoid: Long direct sunlight, which lightens the finish unevenly, and abrasive pads or scouring powders.

Nineteen and three-quarter inches wide, thirteen and three-quarter deep. That is the gap beside a doorway, the strip between a wardrobe and a window, the bit of a rental bedroom you assumed could only hold a plant. Four full-depth drawers go in there instead.

Solid rubberwood with every corner softened

Real wood on a solid plinth base, with the edges rounded rather than left sharp — which is what stops a tall chest in a tight space from chipping the first time something bumps it. Arrives assembled, so there is no flat-pack carcass to get square.
