Carcass and Surface: Melamine
Mirror: Glass with hand-wave LED, three colour modes
The surfaces: A soft cloth with warm water and a drop of mild soap, then wipe the soap off and dry. Melamine tolerates far more than a lacquer would, but it is not invincible — wipe acetone off rather than leaving it.

The mirror: Spray glass cleaner onto the cloth, never onto the mirror. Liquid running into the frame will reach the LED wiring.

The sensor: If the light stops responding, wipe the sensor area. A film of hairspray or powder is usually the cause, not a fault.

Avoid: Abrasive pads and scouring powders, which will dull melamine permanently.

The chest carries the volume — two columns, three rows, cream fronts on a light frame. The desk beside it stays deliberately empty: a slim top with an open shelf at the far end, so there is somewhere to actually work rather than somewhere else to stack things.

Cream and light oak, which is the easy combination

The surface is melamine, which shrugs off the things a dressing table actually gets covered in — nail varnish remover, hairspray, foundation. It wipes. A lacquered timber top in the same position would mark and stay marked, and we would rather give you the surface that survives.

Two pieces, so two rooms are possible

Run them end to end for nearly eight feet of dressing table, or split them — chest against one wall, desk under the window. Each piece is 47.25 inches wide and only 15.75 deep, which is shallow enough that neither one steals a walkway. Plan for an outlet within reach of the mirror.
