Body Finish: Walnut veneer, reeded
The marble: A soft cloth with warm water, or a mild pH-neutral cleaner, then dry it off. Marble is porous — wipe wine, citrus, perfume and nail products straight away rather than leaving them to sit, because they etch rather than stain and etching does not wash out.

The reeded body: Dust settles in the flutes. A dry paintbrush or a vacuum brush head clears them in seconds. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately.

Avoid: Vinegar, bleach, abrasive pads and scouring powders on the marble — all four will etch or dull it permanently.

Reeded on every side, not just the front

Narrow vertical flutes run right around the body — front, both sides, the lot. Most furniture puts the detail where you look and leaves the rest plain. This does not, which is why it works standing proud of a wall or floating beside a bed rather than only pushed flat against something.

Marble on top, because that is where the damage happens

A dark plinth, so it lifts

The base is recessed and darker than the body, which drops the visual weight and makes a fairly solid little cabinet look like it is hovering. Two drawers, one with a slim pull. The honest caveat on marble: it is porous, so wipe wine, citrus and perfume rather than leaving them to sit.

The one to buy if the bed is plain

19.75 inches wide, 15.75 deep, 22 high. If your bed frame is doing nothing interesting, a pair of these either side is the cheapest way to make the room look considered. If the bed is already the statement, the Wailea Nightstand is the quieter choice.
