The stone tops: Wipe with a soft damp cloth and warm water, then dry to avoid water spotting. Sintered stone is non-porous, so spills sit on top — wipe them up when you can. For anything stubborn, use a pH-neutral cleaner and a non-abrasive cloth. No sealing or polishing is required.

Avoid on the tops: Abrasive pads, scouring powders, and bleach-based or acidic cleaners. Do not set very hot items directly on the surface.

The fluted fronts: Dust along the grooves with a dry soft brush or a vacuum brush head. Fluting collects dust in a way a flat front does not, and this is the one bit of upkeep the design asks for.

The C-table: Do not sit or lean on the cantilever top, which is designed for a laptop or a meal, not body weight.

Placement: Keep out of long direct sunlight and away from heat vents, which can fade a wood finish over time.

Sintered stone is made to read like quarried stone, so tone and veining vary from piece to piece. Wood finishes also vary and can read slightly warmer or cooler in your room than they do on screen.

Ribbed, so a low table still has something to say

Vertical walnut flutes wrap the coffee table, catching light the way a flat panel never does, topped with pale stone and a thin trim line so the body has an edge instead of just stopping. At 14 inches it sits under the cushion line, in easy reach from where you're already sitting.

Two heights, two jobs

The coffee table sits low on a recessed plinth. The C-table stands at 19 inches — sofa-arm height — so it works over a seat rather than repeating the first piece. Drawers in the coffee table swallow the remotes and the coasters nobody uses. Same one ask as its big brother: a dry brush down the flutes occasionally, because grooves hold dust.

Why we called it the Reed

Reeding is the cabinetmaker's word for these soft vertical ribs, and it's also what grows in long warm lines at the water's edge. There's a matching 78-inch Reed TV stand in the same walnut and the same stone — take both and the wall and the middle of the room finally stop arguing.
