The painted surfaces: A soft cloth with warm water and a drop of mild soap, then wipe the soap off and dry. A pale vanity shows foundation and hairspray more than a dark one does — wipe it down weekly rather than letting it build.

The circular fronts: Dust settles in the recesses. A dry paintbrush or a vacuum brush head clears them in seconds.

The mirror: Spray cleaner onto the cloth, never onto the mirror.

Avoid: Abrasive pads, acetone-based nail products, and bleach — all three will mark PU paint permanently.

Wave at it and the mirror lights

No switch, no cord to fish for behind a drawer. Pass a hand over the sensor and it comes on; again to cycle three colour temperatures, warm through to cool. It sounds like a gimmick until the first morning you use it with a brush in your other hand. Plan for an outlet within reach.

Pale, and deliberately so

This is the light one. A bedroom that is already carrying a wood bed and a wood floor does not need a third wood thing in it, and a pale vanity is what stops the room closing in. The finish is PU paint over MDF — wipeable, which matters more on a vanity than on anything else in the house.
