To clean: Vacuum in short, overlapping strokes, using the crevice nozzle around the seams and under the cushion.

Treating stains: Blot spills straight away with a clean dry cloth, then use a water-based upholstery cleaner and blot with a microfibre cloth. Do not scrub, as that pushes the stain deeper and flattens the weave.

To maintain: Turn and plump the seat cushion weekly so it wears evenly, and keep out of prolonged direct sunlight. Lift rather than drag when you move it, so the swivel stays true.
